Born and raised in New York City, enlisted in the Marine Corps on a two-year contract; after graduating from Carmel High School in New York in 1973 was shipped to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC under an open contract and was offered the 1300 MOS. After graduating from MCRD as a PFC was assigned to attend the Basic Combat Engineer course at the Marine Corps Engineer School at Courthouse Bay, CLNC, and assigned as a Class Leader.
Upon graduation went to the 1 st Combat Engineer, B Company, where served as a fireteam leader and squad leader being meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Completing 2-year assignment with 1stCEB re-enlisted. Received orders to join the Enlisted Instructor Company at the Basic School under Major “Boom-Boom” Fasulo.
MOSs held: 1371, 1379, 1381, 4821, 8411, and 8563; acted as 0151, 0431, 1302, and 3043

Advancing through the ranks PFC-GySgt held positions within the CEBs as Fireteam Leader thru Company Gunny. Attending all levels of Combat Engineering schooling plus Landing Support Journeyman.
CEIC Instructor Course, Formal Schools Administrator, Curriculum Developer, Chief Instructor, and Academics Chief.
SNCO Academy, Chief Instructor, and Academics Chief.
Recruiting SNCOIC achieving District Recruiter of the Year obtaining Praetorian and Centurion status.
